When a domain name is registered, your personal information is associated with the domain name and is visible to the public via a WHOIS lookup.
When WHOIS Privacy is enabled on your domain, generic information will instead be displayed; protecting your identity.
What information is displayed?
When WHOIS Privacy is enabled on your domain, generic information for the contact Name, Address, Email and Telephone are displayed. An example of the details displayed on a protected domain is below:

Can someone contact me through WHOIS Privacy?
Yes. WHOIS Privacy Services Pty Ltd offers fully functional methods of contact via Phone, Postal mail or Email:
Phone – Phone messages are recorded and sent to the domain owner via the Primary Contact Email Address associated with the account.
Email – Email messages for the domain are forwarded to the domain owner via the Primary Contact Email Address associated with the account.
Postal – Postal mail is forwarded onto the domain owner via Post to the Owner Contact details in your account.
Your privacy is maintained through all methods of contact.
What does WHOIS Privacy cost?
Enabling WHOIS Privacy on your Fabulous domains is free of charge.
Forwarding physical Post incurs a $25.00 USD handling charge per parcel.
Forwarding of Phone Messages and Email is free of charge and will be sent to your Primary Contact Email address.
