What is a Target Keyword and why should I use one?

A Target Keyword is a word or phrase that you use to describe the content of your domain. For example, if your domain is great-wedding-gowns.com a suitable keyword phrase to enter would be "wedding dresses".

Your selected Target Keyword influences the advertising content that is served on your domain and must be approved by Fabulous before the advertising content will be affected.

You can use Target Keywords to ensure that the most effective and relevant advertising content is displayed on your domain. While our upstream providers endeavor to provide the most relevant content,  it is an automated process with limitations. Adding your own terms/phrases allows you to use keywords that may not otherwise be picked up by the upstream provider’s system.

Please note that the Target Keyword tool only submits a suggestion to our upstream provider; it does not set an authoritative keyword for the results served up on the domain. Our upstream provider assesses your domain then assesses the relevance of your targeted keyword and displays ads accordingly. If their assessment of your keyword is favorable, then ads relevant to that term will be served for the majority of the time. If their assessment of your keyword is unfavorable, then ads relevant to that term are displayed less frequently, or not at all.
